Less whining more conversation

Have I done this before? No. Do I write professionally? No. Is my life interesting? Not particularly. But I see beauty every damn day. And pain as well. And I need a space to connect with people whom are running this exhausting beautiful marathon alongside me. I am writing to free myself of the avalanche of ideas, self doubt and introspection that stop me from sleeping at night, so yes, it is self serving. However I am choosing this journey to inspire, bring joy and cultivate a community of collective experiences that can make the heartaches and frustrations of motherhood a bit more tolerable.

Love me a one sheet dinner

food for the working mom

Just to be clear, that is every Mom. One sheet, one pot, instant pot is music to my tired ass ears. That doesn’t mean I will unload tasteless casseroles and murky stews. We like clean, mediterranean, well seasoned and balanced meals that are different day to day and make leftovers or inspired second day meals. We are lucky to live in a city that has exposed us to so many different types of cuisine and our weekly meals are inspired by such. Some hit with the kids and the adults but let’s be real… the table is a battleground so I will give kid ratings to our dishes so you can adjust accordingly. I love when my favorite cookbooks give suggestions for substitutes or variations so I will do the same for you.
